Sun Lounger: Behind The Design

Neighbor is now poolside! Introducing the Sun Lounger. This versatile outdoor chaise has many of the same features as our best-selling Haven lounge furniture, like sustainable solid teak and Sunbrella fabric, plus new features that emphasize our dedication to functional design and high-quality materials.

The Design

Sun loungers have long been a summertime outdoor furniture favorite, and they're perfect for relaxing by the pool or enjoying a quiet moment in the warm sun. For over a year, we've been working on perfecting the design and features of the Neighbor Sun Lounger. What started as a modern, spacious chair made with recycled Sunbrella fabric and FSC-certified teak quickly became a versatile, comfortable, and functional chair that feels like it could fit in any backyard space. The Sun Lounger has five recline positions, wheels on the back legs for portability, and the cushion can fold and fit into an included canvas bag during the off-season.

One of the features we're most excited about is the built-in sliding side table. The side table is solid teak and can pull out on either side of the chair or be hidden under the chair when not in use. Its slatted design is a nod to our Haven Dining and Coffee Table which allows water to pass through easily and gives the teak room to expand and contract without splitting.

The Materials

The Sun Lounger is crafted with the same FSC-certified teak as our best-selling Haven lounge furniture. The chair base is polyester PVC mesh Durasling which can handle moisture, sun, and rain and acts as a firm support for our comfy quick-drying reticulated foam cushion. The cushion cover uses the same recycled Sunbrella fabric as the rest of the Haven collection. We love Sunbrella fabric because it is spill and stain-resistant, machine-washable, and fade-proof no matter how much time you spend in the sun.
